What to expect from therapy

How does it work?

Psychotherapy or “talk therapy” is consultation with a license mental health expert. Through active listening and analysis, clients can develop greater self-awareness of their emotions, stressors, and strengths.

The greatest benefit that therapy provides is often a confidential and candid relationship wherein a client can safely explore their emotions and receive feedback and support.

Unlike a friendship, a therapeutic relationship is one wherein the primary purpose is explicitly to help YOU!

A therapist’s role is to provide their therapeutic training, psychological expertise, and authentic care in order to help you meet your personal goals.

How much does it cost?

Most health insurances provide coverage for mental health care. Treatment can be surprisingly affordable, depending on your policy.

SAC is happy to explore your benefits with you and help create the treatment schedule that is right for you, based on both your unique therapeutic needs.

What does it help?

Successful therapeutic encounters have been proven to reduce distress, build insight, and improve relationships.

By helping clients to make changes in their life, therapy can significantly reduce the effects of trauma, stress, and unresolved emotions.

Therapy can be the perfect place to develop your mental and emotional wellness with the support of a trained professional.

What services do you offer?

SAC provides both in-office and telehealth (video call) mental health therapy sessions, personalized to your specific needs.

Mr. Clemmons also specializes in group therapy, providing guidance to clients with similar issues to build a confidential community of mutual support and feedback.

How do I get started?

SAC endeavors to make psychotherapy approachable and affordable for those in need: simply send Mr. Clemmons a direct message via email, website, or phone call to begin the conversation.

Consultations are confidential, and are not an obligation to begin treatment.

After a brief consultation and the signing of necessary paperwork, you will be invited to attend an introductory session to build an understanding of your life experience and establish a direction for your treatment.

What makes you different?

Mr. Clemmons provides both a breadth of therapeutic experience across a variety of settings and thorough training from the University of Central Florida, a top 10 counselor education program in the nation.

Mr. Clemmons is especially passionate about providing mental health services to men, who are often hesitant to explore psychotherapy for cultural or personal reasons.

Because of this, men are often an underserved population that suffer silently from significant mental health struggles. With an authentic and direct approach to psychotherapy, SAC endeavors to change that!
